Audubon California, a state office of National Audubon Society, is seeking to hire a GIS Analyst/Biologist to work with its Conservation Team to carry out its mission in California by supporting conservation projects through mapping and spatial analysis. The GIS Analyst will plan for and implement all aspects of Audubon California’s GIS-related projects including working with conservation project teams, identifying resources and establishing project objectives. S/He will serve as a resource and provide training to staff and Audubon chapters regarding the GIS tools available to them through Audubon’s partnership with Esri. S/He will work closely with science and conservation staff in Coastal, Marine, Working Lands, and Important Bird Areas programs to provide essential GIS science, analysis and support.
The GIS Analyst will report to the Director of Bird Conservation and has the opportunity to manage interns or volunteers. The position is located at either Audubon’s San Francisco or Sacramento office with occasional trips to other offices and project locations throughout the State.
